We support the heart and soul of Pike Place Market: its people.

Thank you for supporting Pike Place Market Foundation's Farm Fund campaign!

Together, we’re helping Market farmers replace essential equipment and restore their operations after last winter’s historic flooding. Farm Fund grants help them continue growing the flowers and produce they bring to Pike Place Market while sustaining the livelihoods and family businesses built around each growing season.

Recovery takes time. The Farm Fund is available year-round, and gifts can be made at any time to help ensure support is there when Market farmers need it.

We’re grateful to everyone who came together for Market farmers, and for the care this community continues to show.

Today is the final day of the Farm Fund gift match.

For Market farmers recovering from last winter’s floods, community support has already helped move recovery forward in practical, urgent ways.

Through the Farm Fund, support is helping farmers repair equipment, restore irrigation, rebuild greenhouses, replace fencing, and put essential tools back in farmers’ hands.

Each repair matters because each one helps a farmer keep working, keep growing, and prepare for the seasons ahead.

But recovery does not end when one piece of equipment is replaced or one repair is complete. For many farmers, rebuilding takes time, resources, and continued support.

Help Market farmers with ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts.
Today is the last day to make your gift go twice as far.

Before the flowers and produce reach Pike Place Market, a great deal of work has already happened.

Seeds are planted.
Fields are cultivated.
Crops are irrigated.
Fences protect what is growing.
Tools and equipment help farmers keep each step moving.

What we see at the Market in one day can take seasons of work to grow.

When flooding damages a farm, it can disrupt far more than a field. It can delay work, interrupt growing cycles, damage equipment, and put an entire season of a farmer’s income at risk.

Last winter’s floods caused significant damage for many farmers connected to the Market.

But this incredible community has already helped recovery move forward.

Through the Pike Place Market Foundation, community support has helped 32 farm businesses receive $316,450 in grants to reinvest in the equipment, tools, and infrastructure they need to keep farming.

These grants are helping replace flood-damaged plows, provide down payments for new tractors, repair irrigation systems, rebuild greenhouses, restore dry storage sheds, replace fencing, and put essential tools back in farmers’ hands.

So when we see the flowers and produce at the Market, we are also seeing a larger story unfolding behind them: a story of recovery, resilience, and a community helping farmers keep going.

You can be part of that story.

Now through June 12, every gift will be matched.

What happens when the tools someone depends on for their livelihood are suddenly gone?

For many farmers recovering from the historic winter floods, the loss wasn’t only about damaged equipment. It meant lost time, disrupted work, and income put at risk for the season ahead.

But thanks to this incredible community, many farmers have begun the work of rebuilding and recovery.

Through the Farm Fund, community support is helping farmers replace and restore what they need to keep going: tractor down payments, rototillers, wheelbarrows, t-posts, irrigation systems, greenhouses, and hard-to-source harvesting tools.

One farmer, whose tractor was destroyed in the flood, shared:

“A new tractor will allow us to continue farming for as long as we are physically able to farm. It allows us to care for the soil that grows the products that keep our business going. Without a tractor, it is nearly impossible to farm.”

That’s what recovery means in practical terms: restoring the ability to work, earn a living, care for the land, and prepare for the seasons ahead.

For many Market farmers, the recovery and rebuilding work continues, and you can help.

Right now, every gift will be matched through June 12.

Yeng Lee Cha has sold flowers at Pike Place Market for 17 years.

Last December, floods destroyed two of her greenhouses. A four ton shipping container was lifted from its foundation. Her spring bulbs sat underwater for days.

Yeng's experience reflects what many farmers are still navigating months later.

You can help continue rebuilding efforts through the season ahead.

Right now, every gift will be matched through June 12.

Farming seasons never stop.

After December’s floods, Market farmers were suddenly managing flood damage on top of the daily work of keeping their farms running.

Farmers were connected to emergency resources and early recovery support so they could begin rebuilding: repairing equipment, rebuilding fences, restoring irrigation, and preparing for the season ahead.

But for many more farmers, the recovery work is still ongoing.

And through the Farm Fund, this community is helping farmers continue rebuilding while the work of farming continues. You can help.

Right now, every gift will be matched through June 12.

What many people haven’t seen is the recovery still unfolding behind those Market stalls after December’s historic floods.

But the work isn’t over.

You can help Market farmers continue rebuilding through the months ahead.

Right now, every gift will be matched through June 12.
