The & teamed up with Food Lifeline for their Teammate Day of Service—showing up for our community in a big way. 💙💚
Last week, they rolled up their sleeves for a sort and repack — and this recap video captures it all, from the hands-on work to the conversations we shared about why giving back matters. 🎥
The beans sorted during this session will head out to food banks and meal programs across the Puget Sound, helping ensure our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.
Because supporting our communities takes teamwork—and when we come together, we can make an even greater impact. 💪

HelloFresh , United Way of King County , and No Kid Hungry partnered with Food Lifeline to distribute free meals and essential resource information to families during the final week of the school year — helping bridge the summer nutrition gap for Seattle-area children.
Last week, we rolled up our sleeves for a sort and repack — here’s a look at what that made possible.
Through the Kids Helping Kids to End Childhood Hunger campaign, we’re empowering the next generation to lead and support their communities.
Because for 1 in 6 children in Seattle, the end of the school year doesn’t just signal summer break — it can also mean losing access to dependable, nutritious meals.

🏈 The Seahawks made a touchdown today at Food Lifeline to support food security in our communities. We were thrilled to have several of the players and staff volunteer with us for their Teammate Day of Service. 💙💚
The Seattle Seahawks team and staff embody what it means to be champions beyond the field. The beans they sorted and repacked will go out to food banks and meal programs across the Puget Sound, helping ensure all our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.
Jadarian Price, running back for the Seahawks, said: “I love being able to come out here and make a difference. What better way to spend our time than volunteering and making an impact on our community.” 🌟
Julian Neal (Jersey #1) and Aiden Hubbard (Jersey #93) also joined us for the session. 🙌
“It’s our goal to help address food insecurity in the state of Washington, and no one is better at supporting our community than Food Lifeline,” said Becca Stout, Managing Director of Community Engagement. “Our whole organization comes together for this day. It’s all about teamwork—and that’s one of the greatest things about volunteering in the community. We can all do greater things when we come together and work as a team.”
Huge thanks to our hometown team for joining us today to support our mission and our communities. !

For one in six children in Seattle, the end of the school year doesn’t just mean summer break – it means losing the reliable school meals they depend on.
To help fill the summer meals gap, HelloFresh , United Way of King County, and Food Lifeline distributed free wholesome HelloFresh meals to a local elementary school during the last week of the school year. Attending families also received crucial information about grocery support programs like Summer EBT, SNAP benefits, and access to free local meal resources, courtesy of No Kid Hungry.
The event was part of the Kids Helping Kids to End Childhood Hunger campaign, an evolution of HelloFresh and No Kid Hungry’s ongoing partnership to ensure all children are nourished over the summer. This year, peer-led support is giving kids the opportunity to advocate for one another, turning classmates into community leaders.
This campaign is an investment in the future generation, promising that all children will stay nourished and that no student faces a summer of hunger alone. For more information and to get involved, visit www.hellofresh/nokidhungry.

We’re incredibly grateful to KIRO 7 News, Albert Lee Appliance and QFC for coming together with Food Lifeline to make this year’s KIRO 7 Cares Food Drive such a meaningful success. Thanks to this partnership, neighbors showed up in a big way, Albert Lee contributed a generous $25,000, and QFC shoppers helped provide food valued at $14,350 through virtual grocery bags.
This support comes at a critical moment, as summer begins and many families lose access to school meals and face the added burden of putting hundreds of additional meals on the table. KIRO’s powerful storytelling helped shine a light on this urgent need, reaching millions and inspiring action across our community.
Because of this collective effort, we’re able to distribute nourishing, culturally relevant food to neighbors when it matters most and bring our community closer together. 💙

Last month, volunteers from the Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) came together to make a meaningful impact—sorting over 1,320 lbs of food to support the community. 💛
As group coordinator, Mandy shared, “Our seniors felt genuinely happy, fulfilled, and proud of what they were able to accomplish that day. It was especially meaningful for us to see one of our eldest participants, who is 82 years old, taking part with such joy.”
The CISC volunteers remind us of power of community, purpose, and giving back at every age. 🙌

Conversations on the Dock
Featuring Jeff Thungc, Iu-Mein American Association
In our conversation, Jeff Thungc reminds addressing hunger is about more than distributing food—it’s about building a network of organizations that can meet community needs together. Jeff shares how local organizations pool resources, coordinate food access, and prioritize culturally relevant foods that help families feel seen, supported, and connected.
"We’re the center of a consortium...pretty much a collective of organizations that are coming together to support each other." - Jeff Thungc
