Sabirah is an EMMY-nominated journalist and co-anchor of Seattle News Tonight, as well as the primary anchor of Washington News Wrap. She is also the creator and host of For the Girls: Women on the Rise, an EMMY-nominated series that highlights women making an impact across industries.

Through her work, Sabirah has covered important issues while also creating space to uplift others.

The Fallen Officer Memorial Project honors the lives and service of Seattle Police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Established in 2022 and funded by the Seattle Police Foundation, this project ensures each officer is remembered with dignity and care. Through the installation of granite mourning badges at meaningful locations, these memorials create space for reflection, remembrance, and gratitude.

Each memorial stands as a lasting tribute, not only to those we have lost, but to the impact they made on this community and the legacy they leave behind.

This is one way we continue to honor their service and ensure they are never forgotten.

Next month, we will gather to honor another fallen officer. More details to come as we continue this important work. 💙
