🚒💧 Quick question:

If a fire started in your building today, would there be enough water available to support the fire protection system?

That's exactly what a fire flow test helps determine.

By measuring water pressure and flow rates from the municipal water supply, fire flow testing provides critical information used to design and verify fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and other fire protection equipment.

Most people never think about what's happening behind the scenes until an emergency occurs—but having the right water supply is one of the most important factors in a system's performance.

Have you ever seen a fire flow test being performed?

When was the last time the inside of your fire sprinkler piping was inspected?

Many commercial sprinkler systems require a 5-Year Internal Inspection under NFPA 25 to check for corrosion, obstructions, and other conditions that can't be seen during routine testing.

These inspections help identify potential issues before they impact system performance—and can help keep your building compliant with fire code requirements.

Not sure if your property is due? AAA Fire Protection can help.

One of the things we’re most proud of at AAA Fire Protection isn’t just the work we do—it’s how we show up for the communities we’re part of ❤️

Our Share Board gives our team the opportunity to support causes they’ve personally connected with—organizations doing real, meaningful work right here in our communities.

Shoutout to groups like Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary, WestSide Baby, Ballard Food Bank … and many more making a difference every day.

There’s a lot of need in the areas we serve, and we’re grateful to play even a small role in supporting it. At the end of the day, what we do goes beyond buildings and systems—it’s about people. And this is one way we stay grounded in that.

What is a building report—and why does it matter for Joint Commission compliance?

In healthcare environments, your fire protection documentation needs to be clear, consistent, and audit-ready at all times.

A building report brings everything together—inspection results, deficiencies, and system status—into one organized document so your team can easily track what’s been completed and what still needs attention.
Without that, information often gets scattered across multiple reports, vendors, and inspections, making it harder to prepare for surveys and stay compliant.

At AAA Fire Protection, our building reports are designed to support Joint Commission requirements by providing:

- Clear, organized documentation across all life safety systems
- Consistent reporting that aligns with inspection schedules
- Easy-to-follow deficiencies and next steps
- A reliable record your team can reference during audits

When survey time comes, nothing should be a surprise.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!!!!

While you’re clearing out closets and storage areas, don’t forget about fire safety. Clutter might not seem like a big deal, but it’s one of the most common fire hazards we see.

Quick things to check:

✔️ Electrical panels have about 3 feet of clear space
✔️ Nothing is stored near heaters or equipment
✔️ Fire extinguishers are easy to find and reach
✔️ Alarm and sprinkler systems are in good working order

A few small changes can make a big difference.

If you’re not sure what to look for, we’re always happy to help.

Our alarm tech replaced a faulty heat detector to keep this system running right and up to code.

Heat detectors matter—especially in the spots smoke detectors can’t handle. When one goes down, it’s not something to ignore.

Need a repair or have a deficiency? We’ve got you covered.

HEY POOKIES!!! He's back 😎

Not our suppression manager, Terry Ochoa, absolutely SLAYING this gen z coded trend. This round he’s talking vehicle + marine suppression because while the slang may change every six months, fire protection does not.

Whether you call it:
🔥 fire
💯 gas
🤝 elite

or just “pretty neat” if you’re over 40…

Protecting your vehicles, equipment, and marine assets from fire will always matter.

Different generations. Different lingo. Same mission.

Most people know us for fire system inspections, alarm and sprinkler…
But that’s only part of what we do.

At AAA Fire Protection, we handle the full scope of life safety systems, including:

• Backflow testing
• Fire extinguisher service & certification
• CO₂ refills (done in-house, fast turnaround)
• Emergency lighting & exit signs
• Clean agent systems

One partner. Every system.

If you're managing a building, restaurant, or commercial space—keeping everything compliant shouldn’t mean juggling multiple vendors.

“Why are they cutting the drywall for a sprinkler?”

We get this question all the time! Simple answer: the connection isn’t always where you think it is.

A lot of sprinkler heads are tied in inside the wall or ceiling, not at the visible head — so without access, you risk leaks or damaging the system.

A small cut now = avoiding a much bigger problem later.

And no — drywall repair isn’t typically included. We keep it clean, minimal, and code-compliant so your team can patch it properly and to your building's proper paint color and aesthetic :)
