Occupational Safety & Health Continuing Education

These courses are partially supported by the Northwest Center for Occupational Health & Safety, one of 18 Education and Research Centers (ERCs) funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). We are the home of the Pacific Northwest OSHA Education Center, which is the only OSHA-authorized training facility in the Pacific Northwest. The OSHA Education Center offers high quality, standards-based training for workers, management, and health and safety professionals in the private and public sectors. An experienced team of OSHA-authorized instructors presents information on federal and state safety and health regulations. Classes are held in Anchorage, AK; Boise, ID; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA and other locations by arrangement. We are also participants in the five-university Western Regional Universities Consortium, a National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) funded effort to provide training for Superfund site workers, emergency response personnel, and hazardous waste transporters and workers. This funding support helps us collaborate with community-based and tribal organizations to provide training for underrepresented minorities.
