Heading to a match on Link light rail? ⚽ Make sure you play it safe by keeping the following tips in mind:

👀 Look both ways before crossing. Always expect a second train!

🚸Take crosswalks, not shortcuts. Getting there > than getting there fast.

🚈Stay behind the yellow line when trains are in motion. Step back and look up!

📱Headphones off, screens down. It can wait.

🚲Bike smart, roll safe. Cross tracks at 90 degrees to keep your tires from getting stuck.

Safety is a team effort – look out for each other to keep our communities safe this summer.

⚽ What a day on Link!

Monday’s match brought in ~210,000 boardings—making it the third busiest day in Link history* 🚆

To help get everyone where they needed to go, we ran more trains than ever before: 46 trains (174 railcars), including all 3-car trains on the 2 Line for the first time, plus record staffing across the system.

Thanks to everyone who rode transit to the match—including Sounder, ST Express, and T Line. 💙

*Ridership estimates are based on a rapid-turnaround review of available Automatic Passenger Counter (APC) data and should be considered an early directional estimate. Because APC data continues to be received and validated after the operating day, the estimates are derived from a partial reporting sample and extrapolated to the full fleet. The most recent service periods currently have the lowest reporting rates, meaning the estimates may increase or decrease as additional vehicle data is processed and validated.

The Ballard Link Extension remains part of Sound Transit’s long-term vision for regional transit.

Current funding will allow the project to continue through final design, helping us refine plans, identify efficiencies, and keep the project ready for future construction.

⚽ Match day is here! Belgium vs. Egypt kicks off at noon at Seattle Stadium.

If you're taking transit:
⏰ Leave extra time for your trip
🚈 Expect crowded trains and platforms
👋 Follow directions from transit staff and ambassadors

We'll be running Link every 6 minutes, plus additional ST Express, Sounder, and T Line service to help get fans to the action.

After the match, expect longer lines and wait times as everyone heads home. Plan ahead and enjoy the game!
