The Firecracker Cook-Off is looking for sponsors. Your business gets seen by hundreds of attendees who care about veterans and their families — and you're directly funding nature therapy services that reach people who've given everything for this country.
That's a sponsorship worth having.

Every year people come out to the Lazy U Ranch for great BBQ and a great time.
What they're really doing — whether they know it or not — is making sure veterans and their families can come here free of charge all year long.
That's the bottom line. The Firecracker Cook-Off funds the mission.

Look up.
Every face on that ceiling has a story. A family. A price they paid that most people never see.
This is the SS American Memorial at the Lazy U Ranch. It's not Arlington — but every man and woman up there is honored the same way. By name. By service. By sacrifice.
Twenty-six years ago, 12 shipmates gathered on the Guadalupe River. None of us had any idea what was coming. What came out of that one day — this room, this ranch, the 47,000 Americans we've served — THAT is what this day is about.
Today we remember the ones who didn't make it home. Today we say their names.
Rest easy, brothers and sisters. We've got the watch.

What you're looking at is where it's going.
These stone pillars — this gate — built by hand. Built with purpose. The Lazy U Ranch is in the middle of becoming what it was always meant to be — a full nature therapy park for veterans, active duty, first responders and their families. 70 acres on the Guadalupe River. Room to breathe. Room to heal.
We are in the build. The settlement is going up, stone by stone.
When these gates open — and they will — there will be no charge. Not one dollar. Not ever. That has always been the promise.
This Memorial Day weekend, you can be part of making it happen.

This weekend, before the cookouts start — sit with it a minute.
There's a pair of boots somewhere that won't be coming home. A family sitting at a table with an empty chair.
That weight doesn't go away. But you can honor it.
Today: share a name. Make a donation. Tell somebody's story.
Tomorrow: we finish what we started.
