๐โ๏ธ Itโs not too late to jump in!
Summer with the Superintendent has been a blast! Last week, elementary students enjoyed Popsicles & Pages in the Park, and this week, secondary students met for Chapters & Coffee at J316 Coffee.
Elementary students even talked Dr. Gore into multiple rounds of hide and seek on the playground! Secondary students compared their summer bucket list progress, visited over drinks, and came to a consensus on their first book club read: The Hunger Games.
Join us for the next round!

Please help us welcome Mrs. Keely Green to Snyder High School, where she will teach Precalculus and Dual Credit Math!
Mrs. Green brings a strong background in math instruction, including experience with Grand Prairie ISD, Tarrant County College, Snyder ISD, Western Texas College, and Ira ISD.
She earned her bachelorโs degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2002 and her masterโs degree from Texas Tech University in 2017.
Mrs. Green was born in Dallas, grew up in West Texas, and later returned to Snyder. This year is especially meaningful because her youngest child will be a freshman at Snyder High School, giving her the chance to spend the next four years on the same campus while continuing to support Snyder Tigers.
Her โwhyโ says it best:
โMath is in my DNA. I want to share my knowledge and understanding and be part of young peopleโs learning.โ
Outside of school, Mrs. Green enjoys cross-stitching and working out.
Welcome to Snyder High School, Mrs. Green!

Please help us welcome Mrs. Lydia Fisk to Snyder Primary School as our school nurse!
Mrs. Fisk is a lifelong Snyder resident and a proud Snyder ISD parent. She is honored to give back to the district that has played such an important role in her familyโs life.
She earned her Associateโs Degree from New Mexico State University Carlsbad and brings 31 years of experience as a registered nurse. Throughout her career, she has provided compassionate care and support to others, building strong clinical skills, patience, empathy, and a heart for service.
Her โwhyโ is simple: caring for people.
โNursing has provided me with the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others, offer comfort during difficult times, and serve my community in a meaningful way.โ
Outside of work, Mrs. Fisk enjoys attending church, Bible study, and spending time with her family.
We are grateful to have Mrs. Fisk caring for our youngest Tigers at Snyder Primary School!

โ๏ธ Summer is one of the busiest times of the year for our Maintenance and Operations team!
While students are enjoying their break, they are hard at work completing repairs, updates, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects across the district to prepare our campuses for the first day of school.
One of many projects currently underway is restriping parking lots. The summer student worker crew has been working at Snyder Primary School and will move to Snyder Intermediate School next.
From major projects to everyday maintenance, thereโs a lot happening across Snyder ISD this summer. Stay tuned to see what else is underway as we prepare for another great school year.
A big thank you to our Maintenance and Operations team for all the work happening behind the scenes this summer! ๐

๐๐ Did you know? One of Snyder ISDโs goals is to help students graduate with more than a diploma.
Through our Career & Technical Education programs, students have opportunities to earn industry-based certifications, gain real-world experience, explore potential career paths, and develop skills that will serve them long after graduation. Whether students choose college, technical training, military service, or the workforce, these experiences help prepare them for what comes next.
Congratulations to these Snyder High School seniors who have earned their Texas Educational Aide I Certification while still in high school:
โข Ashlyn Palacios
โข Scarlett McKamie
โข Marinela Fajardo
โข Jessica Crawford
โข Skylar Martinez
โข Madison Marquez
โข Kyera Short
โข Christian Wright
โข Maria Torres
To earn this credential, students completed a rigorous process that included advanced Education & Training coursework, field-based internship experiences working alongside students and mentor teachers, and meeting certification requirements established by the Texas Education Agency.
This certification recognizes students who have gained valuable classroom experience while developing skills in teaching, child development, communication, leadership, and professionalism.
We are proud of these nine seniors for taking this important step toward their future and for the positive impact they have already made in our schools. Their work reflects the purpose of Career & Technical Education: helping students discover their passions, build meaningful skills, and leave high school prepared for whatโs next.

Recently, our teachers spent two days learning and growing through Gomez and Gomez training, an important part of strengthening our Dual Language program.
The training is a great introduction for new teachers and an excellent refresher for veteran educators. We appreciate our staffโs commitment to continuous learning as they work to provide engaging, high-quality bilingual instruction for our students.
