Crews have been busy with downed trees and stranded motorists. Please turn around, don’t drown when you come up to high water. This flash flood water rose quickly.

Today, personnel from the Timber Lakes Fire Department conducted boat familiarization training to ensure our crews are ready to respond during this year’s hurricane and rainy season. Along with our department, personnel from the Needham Fire & Rescue/ Montgomery County ESD #4 were also in attendance for a joint training opportunity.
Members spent time reviewing operations and practicing with both our inflatable rescue boat and our flat-bottom flood evacuation boat, reinforcing the skills needed to safely conduct water rescue and evacuation operations when severe weather impacts our community.
Regular training helps ensure that our personnel remain prepared to respond quickly and effectively when residents need us most.
As we move into hurricane season, Timber Lakes Fire Department remains committed to maintaining readiness and providing the highest level of service to our community.

This morning, E-141 responded to one of our smallest rescue calls yet… 🐥🚒
A baby duck had taken an unexpected detour into a storm drain and needed a little help getting back to safety. Thankfully, our crew was able to safely rescue the tiny feathered friend and reunite it with its very concerned duck family nearby.
No matter the size of the emergency, the Timber Lakes Fire Department is always ready to help our community — even the ones with feathers! 💛
Great job by the crew of E-141 on another successful “special operations” rescue. 👏
