Thinking about and honoring our loved ones today!
Today we invite you and your children to say their name, share a favorite memory, or tell us something that always makes you think of your loved one.
Whether it’s a laugh, a song, a smell, or a moment—you’re not alone in remembering. Every story matters. Every memory is love.
What’s one special thing you remember about your person?

What grieving friends often need isn’t advice or solutions. They need presence. A text that says, “I’m thinking of you.” A meal dropped off at the door. Someone who remembers to check in months later when everyone else has moved on.
The support that matters most is often the simplest:
• Show up.
• Listen.
• Don’t try to fix it.
• Keep showing up after the funeral.
• Say their loved one's name and share memories.
Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and neither should our compassion.
If someone in your life is carrying the loss of a parent, don’t wait until you know exactly what to say. Reach out anyway.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is letting someone know they don’t have to carry their grief alone.
How to support a friend who has lost a parent
From practical help to knowing what to say, experts and those with lived experience explain how to truly support a grieving friend after the death of a parent.
