Today we welcomed our Emergency Management partners from to tour our Emergency Operations Center.

As one of the region’s busiest transportation hubs, strong coordination between airport emergency management and local public safety partners is essential. This visit provided an opportunity to discuss emergency planning, incident coordination, and how we work together to ensure the safety and security of travelers, residence, and visitors to America’s favorite Airport.

Today will be similar to Monday with scattered to numerous mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Then over the next few days deeper moisture will arrive leading to more numerous showers and thunderstorms at almost any time with locally heavy rainfall possible. ⛈️

Recently, our Emergency Management team hosted our leadership and emergency management partners from TECO, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and the National Weather Service to discuss planning, coordination, and response strategies ahead of the 2026 hurricane season.

These collaborative meetings help ensure our community is prepared for whatever comes our way.
