Work zones may be temporary, but the consequences of unsafe driving can last a lifetime. Do your part and be a safe driver. Give workers their space, reduce your speed, and follow posted signage.

Remember, work zone safety is everyone's job.

Some legacies are measured in years. Others are measured in generations.

Today, we celebrate the fathers who answered the call to serve and inspired their children to do the same. Their shared commitment to protecting and serving our community reflects the lasting impact a father can have both at home and in the profession.

From all of us at the Tampa Police Department, we wish every father a Happy Father’s Day and thank you for the impact you make each day.

This Father’s Day weekend, take time to celebrate, thank, and hug a little tighter the father figures who have helped shape your life.

Today, through our TPD C.A.R.E.S. program, we were honored to award $45,000 to local organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Tampa residents.

These organizations work tirelessly to support youth, strengthen families, improve mental health resources, prevent crime, and create opportunities for those they serve. Through the TPD C.A.R.E.S. program, we are able to invest in initiatives that promote positive change and help build stronger, more resilient communities.

Congratulations to all 2026 recipients!
