Selmon Construction Updates

: Heads up, Selmon Expressway users. Nightly eastbound outside lane and shoulder closures will continue on the Selmon Expressway from June 7 – 18, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

: The Selmon Greenway between Morgan St. and S. Florida Ave. will be closed beginning Wednesday, June 3rd, as part of the South Selmon Capacity Project.

Wed. 6/3:
🚧 Selmon Greenway (Morgan St. to S. Florida Ave.) - Full pedestrian closure in effect. The area will be fenced for construction. Adjacent parking will also be impacted during this time.

A City of Tampa-approved sidewalk detour will be in place for pedestrians. Greenway users will be directed to use E. Brorein St. during the closure. THEA and the contractor will actively work to safely reopen the Greenway as soon as overhead construction work is complete.

Please plan your route accordingly and use caution near work zones. Thank you for your patience.

🌴 Heads up, neighbors! Tree trimming and clearing activities are getting underway along the South Selmon Capacity Project corridor.

If your home or business is directly impacted, you'll be notified in advance via a door knock or door card explaining the work.

: Heads up, work starting Friday. Daytime lane and sidewalk closures are scheduled on Howard Ave. and Watrous Ave. from May 29 - June 5.

Fri. 5/29 - Fri. 6/5 (as needed):
🚧 Howard Ave. & Watrous Ave. - Temporary lane and sidewalk closures in effect. Flaggers will be on site, and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the work period.

🚧 Cleveland St. (Hyde Park Ave. to S. Blvd.) - Intermittent left-lane closure

: Daytime lane closures are scheduled on Bayshore Blvd. under the Hillsborough River Bridge from May 21 - 27.

Thu. 5/21 - Wed. 5/27 (as needed):
🚧 Bayshore Blvd. - Temporary lane closure in effect. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be maintained throughout the work period.

: Nightly lane closures are scheduled on various Selmon Expressway overpasses on May 21, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM for tree trimming and clearing as part of the South Selmon Capacity Project.

Thurs. May 21:

🚧 Hillsborough River Bridge (Hillsborough River to Tampa St.) (EB inside lane and shoulder)

: Our crews will be working at night, May 20 - 21, in two locations near the Hillsborough River Bridge. We appreciate your patience, and please use caution in work zones.

Wed. 5/20 - Thurs. 5/21:
🚧 Joseph Frye Park (East Side of the River): There will be a temporary pedestrian closure in the park; the main Riverwalk path will remain open and accessible as usual.

🚧 Bayshore Blvd. beneath the Selmon Expressway (West Side of the River): Our crews will be working in this area. No impacts to traffic lanes or pedestrian sidewalks are expected.
