Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and a reminder of the work still ahead.

United Way Suncoast remains dedicated to breaking down barriers, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities so every individual can thrive.

In our latest Freedom to Rise podcast, we take a deeper look at the 2026 ALICE Report—highlighting the real challenges facing hardworking families across our region.

ALICE households are earning above the federal poverty line, yet still struggling to afford the basics—and often just one unexpected expense away from crisis.

Hear from experts as they discuss who is being impacted most, why it matters, and how we can come together to create solutions

Through our Community Impact Investment, United Way Suncoast is helping families create safe, supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Meet the Parent Partner Program through Parenting Matters, which provides in‑home, evidence‑based education and support to parents of children ages 0–12. Serving both English‑ and Spanish‑speaking families, the program empowers caregivers to strengthen protective factors, reduce risks, and build healthy, nurturing home environments.

Through weekly, personalized home visits, Parenting Educators build trust and provide tailored guidance to support child development, promote school success, and break cycles of generational trauma.

Together, we’re strengthening families, building resilience, and creating brighter futures for children across our community.

Real stories. Real impact. Right here in our community.

When people think “emergency,” they think storms. 🌪️

But for businesses, disruptions look like:
➡️ Cyber attacks
➡️ Wi-Fi going down
➡️ Staffing gaps
➡️ Delayed shipments
➡️ A burst pipe
➡️ Power outages

Preparedness isn’t just hurricane planning.

It’s planning for anything that can interrupt your operations.

Partnership in action 💙

Thank you to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation for a $30,000 gift supporting our Summer Care program. Together, we’re helping children across five counties stay engaged in learning, strengthen literacy skills, and return to school ready to thrive.

Through our Community Impact Investment, United Way Suncoast is helping students and families build the skills and confidence needed to succeed—both in and out of the classroom.

Meet Joshua Way Hope and its Achievers Educational Program, which provides personalized academic, social, and behavioral support to help students reach their full potential. By identifying each child’s unique learning style, the program strengthens reading, vocabulary, and math skills—supporting on‑time grade promotion and academic success.

Beyond academics, students develop essential social‑emotional skills, learning self‑regulation techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges while building healthy communication habits.

Together, we’re empowering students, supporting families, and helping young people thrive in school and in life.

Real stories. Real impact. Right here in our community.

Summer is more than a season—it’s an opportunity 💛

Thanks to the incredible kids at Sulphur Springs K-8 and Tampa YMCA Summer Care Camp, we’re kicking off a summer focused on growth, enrichment and possibility for every child we serve.

Because when we invest in our youth, we invest in our future.

Here’s what many working families are facing right now:

A family of four with two young children in childcare needs more than $106,000 a year just to afford basic necessities in our region.

That’s not about extras—it’s about housing, food, transportation, and especially childcare, which continues to be one of the biggest cost drivers for families.

The numbers can feel discouraging.

But at United Way Suncoast, we see hope every day.

Families are moving beyond survival because of community support, access to quality childcare, and people working together to create change.
