As we reflect on an unforgettable evening at Bet on a Cure, we continue to celebrate the incredible individuals who made this year’s event such a success.

Our High Roller Honorees exemplified what it means to go all in for the mission of the American Cancer Society. Through their dedication, generosity, and fundraising efforts, they helped raise critical support for cancer research, patient services, advocacy efforts, and Hope Lodge Tampa, providing a home away from home for patients and caregivers traveling for treatment.

Together, our High Rollers raised an incredible $32,005 in support of the American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge Tampa, helping ensure that patients and families have access to lifesaving research, critical support services, and compassionate care when they need it most.

A special congratulations goes to Dr. Alan Kerr, our leading High Roller fundraiser, who raised an outstanding $16,895 in support of the mission.

We are very proud to recognize all of our High Roller Honorees who helped make this impact possible:

Please join us in congratulating Patrick Arends on being recognized with the 2026 Southwest Florida Impact Maker Award for the GenNow Network at the American Cancer Society Leadership Summit!

Patrick has served on the ACS GenNow Network Board of Tampa for the past five years and currently serves as Mission & Volunteer Chair. In this leadership role, he helps lead volunteer initiatives that create meaningful connections and real impact throughout our community.

A dedicated Hope Lodge volunteer, Patrick helps coordinate monthly Bingo nights that give board members the opportunity to connect directly with patients and families. Many members have described these evenings as one of the most meaningful ways to experience the mission firsthand, and Patrick has been instrumental in making them possible.

Patrick’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to creating impactful volunteer experiences embody the spirit of the GenNow Network, making this recognition truly well deserved.

Congratulations, Patrick, and thank you for all you do to support the American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge Tampa!
