I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for coming out to support tonight's kick off. Chihuahua's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina did a FANTASTIC job hosting us, AMAZING service for such a large party and we appreciate them allowing us to host the event with them. I want to thank my fellow candidates Bethany Mann For Congress Veneziano for St Charles County Executive Murray 4 Missouri Monica Balestreri, I know you had a VERY busy day and I appreciate your support and attendance. This Memorial Day weekend, I would like to send my thoughts to those grieving the loss of a loved one who passed serving our country. Memorial Day initially began as a time for those to remember their lost loved ones after the Civil War. In the 20th Century, the day expanded to encompass those who passed in service of the country during WWI and WWII.

The purpose of Memorial Day has been slowly lost over time. It has come to be known as a time to have fun, relax, and take a break from life (which we all need right now). As a military veteran, I encourage you to take time with me to reflect on the past and remember my fallen brothers and sisters. I ask you to remember their sacrifice, and what it means for us in our everyday lives.

Please feel free to leave a comment with the name of a loved one who gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Let us remember them together, lest they be forgotten.
