Afternoon heat index values are expected to peak in the 105 to 107 degree range across much of NE OK ahead of a front. Take the proper precautions if you are going to be outdoors for an extended time this afternoon.

This evening also brings a chance of severe storms, stay safe!

****Update- The water has receded and the road is open to traffic*****

11th street at the Spunky Creek low water crossing (19800 block) is currently closed due to flooding. Traffic barriers are currently in place. We want to take the opportunity to remind everyone that safety is the priority, safety for drivers and emergency crews alike. Please don’t bypass the traffic barriers and signs, find an alternate route. We will provide updates when available, with the projected rain in the forecast, the closure may be extended. Remember to Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
