Our Westside Conservative Club speaker for Wednesday, June 24 will be Iowa's Republican National Committeewoman Tamara Scott. Tamara will update us on Republican National Committee and Republican Party of Iowa activities. Tamara was first elected to the Republican National Committee in 2012. She is also the Iowa Director of Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest public policy women's organization, which promotes and protects Biblical values and Constitutional principles through prayer, education and advocacy. In addition to being a national conservative leader she has hosted numerous radio and cable television programs since 1998 and is a frequent guest host for WHO Radio. In 2010 she began hosting "Truth for Our Time" and currently is host of "The Tamara Scott Show".
Scott has served on the Governor's Fatherhood Initiative Task Force, the United States Civil Rights State Advisory Committee for Iowa, was President of the Warren County Economic Development Education Foundation and was Chair of the Iowa Prayer Breakfast. In 2007 she was named one of America's Top Ten Most Influential King Makers by the Religion News Association.
Tamara and her husband Lowell own and operate the Des Moines Airport Holiday Inn and Conference Center.
They reside in Warren County.

Our Westside Conservative Club speaker for Wednesday, June 10 will be conservative leader and former Iowa Congressman Steve King. Steve will discuss our recent primary election, the recent Iowa legislative session and other conservative issues with his inimitable enthusiasm and insight.
Steve served in Congress from 2003 to 2021 representing most of western Iowa. Prior to that he served in the Iowa Senate.
He attended Northwest Missouri State University.
Steve and his wife Marilyn live in Kiron where they founded and operate a construction company and raised three sons.

Our Westside Conservative Club speaker for Wednesday, May 27 will be Leo Kelly. Kelly is an Iowan who attended a rally with his parents in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021. After the rally he was one of dozens of Americans who entered the U.S. Capitol. He was not violent and was not part of any destruction or damage to the Capitol. He later was arrested and served 11 months before a Federal Court of Appeals reversed his only felony conviction.
He is the author of Hope From the Ashes of January 6 which is an account of January 6. He will discuss his book and his experiences.
Kelly returned to Iowa where he and his father and brothers own and operate a wireless internet company.
He is the founder and President of Empower Iowa, which works to assist Parents, Teachers, Students and Churches be a part of the solution for Education in Iowa.
He also serves on the board of the Iowa Liberty Network, a Christian grassroots organization that recruits, trains and supports constitutional conservatives to run for the Legislature and other public offices and educates Iowans on issues and legislation.

Our Westside Conservative Club speaker for Wednesday, May 13 will be Chris Hagenow, President of Iowans for Tax Relief, Iowa’s premier taxpayer advocacy organization in the fight for limited government, lower taxes and greater economic freedom.
Prior to leading Iowans for Tax Relief Chris served as the Majority Leader of the Iowa House of Representatives. He served twelve years in the Legislature and was a driving force behind many conservative reforms, including efforts to reduce our tax burdens and promote individual freedoms.
Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Iowa and earned his law degree from the University of Iowa.
He and his wife Amanda live in Urbandale with their three children.
Our speaker for Wednesday, May 27 will be Tamara Scott, Iowa’s Republican National Committeewoman.

Our Westside Conservative Club speaker for Wednesday, April 22 will be Iowa’s Republican National Committeeman Steve Scheffler. Steve is also President of the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition. He will give us an update on the Republican National Committee’s current activities and also discuss the upcoming 26th Annual Iowa Faith and Freedom Dinner.
Steve was first elected to represent Iowa on the Republican National Committee in 2008 and he also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Faith and Freedom Coalition.
Steve Scheffler has been a leader in the successful efforts to keep the Iowa Caucuses “First in the Nation”. He serves on numerous Republican National Committee committees and has served on important in national GOP Convention Committees including the Rules, Credentials, Permanent Organization and Platform Committees.
The Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose purpose is to advocate and influence voters and public officials to keep their commitments to both liberty and law that America will remain one nation under God.
Steve and his wife reside in West Des Moines.
