We hula’d our way through a fun-filled day of island adventures! 💃🌺 Residents got creative making their own beautiful leis 🌸 and showed off their competitive spirit during some exciting coconut bowling! 🥥🎳
What a fantastic way to close out CNA Week and celebrate the amazing caregivers who make every day special. ❤️ Thank you to our wonderful team and residents for making this week one to remember!

Happy Juneteenth! 🎉❤️💚🖤
Today we celebrated by making a red velvet cake from scratch 🍰, wearing black, green, and red 👕, and learning about the history of Juneteenth 📚. We enjoyed every moment together while sharing our delicious cake and honoring this important day ❤️✨

Happy Father’s Day! We loved celebrating Father’s Day with all these incredible men here at StoryPoint Urbandale. Thank you to Gentiva Hospice for providing the Rootbeer Floats for our Fathers, Manly Figures, and Floats event! 💙🎉👔🍦📸

🎣🤪 Today was a fun and tacky Thursday! 🤪🎣 We spent the day fishing and reeled in at least 5 fish... and maybe even a snake! 🐟🐍 😬Everyone had a blast accessorizing their tacky outfits with the most colorful and outrageous accessories we could find. 🌈👒🕶️ To top off the day, the 🎶 Rearview Mirror Band 🎶 joined us for our June Birthday Party! 🎂🎉 We celebrated our June birthdays with great music, laughter, and lots of fun with friends. What a wonderful day filled with smiles, memories, and plenty of tacky style! 💕😊

🤠🌵 Yeehaw, y’all! It’s Western Wednesday durin’ CNA Week! 🐴⭐
We kicked off this fine mornin’ with some good ol’ cowboy exercises—ropin’, stretchin’, and loosening up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time! 🤸‍♀️🐎 Then we wrangled up some fun playin’ tic-tac-toe with horseshoes and stars ⭐🐎, and let me tell ya, there was plenty of friendly competition goin’ on!And oh boy… ropin’ the steer sure brought the laughs! 🤠🐄 Though every now and then, some of our own staff got mistaken for the steer—guess they fit the part a little too well! 😂 All in all, it was a wild west blast and a hollerin’ good time for everyone! 🎉🌵

Today, we stepped back in time and celebrated our favorite decades in style! From groovy outfits to nostalgic fun, everyone embraced the spirit of the era they loved most. 🕶️🌼💃
Residents and CNAs teamed up for some friendly video game competition, tested their knowledge with slang through the decades, and put their history skills to work in a decade sorting game! 🎮📺🗓️
There were plenty of laughs, memories shared, and a whole lot of fun along the way. It was definitely a "Far Out!" day that left us feeling nostalgic and connected. ✌️☮️🌈

We started the day with a little self-care, enjoying relaxing facials and hand massages that left everyone feeling refreshed and pampered. 💆‍♀️✨
Next, we gathered together for a classic treat of fresh cookies and milk. 🍪🥛 There’s nothing quite like a sweet snack shared with friends!
To wrap up our cozy celebration, we spent time reminiscing about bedtime routines from years gone by—sharing cherished memories as both parents and children. 📚🌙💭 The stories, laughter, and memories made for a heartwarming afternoon full of connection and nostalgia.

🇺🇸❤️ What a special Flag Day celebration! ❤️🇺🇸
Today, we were honored by a surprise visit from George and Martha Washington, who shared the fascinating history of our United States flag and its importance throughout our nation's history. 🇺🇸📜 Residents enjoyed testing their knowledge during a fun trivia game, with exciting door prizes awarded along the way! 🎉🧠 Everyone also received a special goodie bag and a commemorative 250th Birthday flag to take home. 🎁 It was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and patriotic pride. What a memorable way to celebrate Flag Day and honor the rich history of our country! ❤️🤍💙

🌈❤️ Today we closed out Pride Week with all the colors of the rainbow! ❤️🌈
What an incredible way to celebrate love, diversity, and community! Today was filled with smiles as we enjoyed special visits from family pets 🐾, created beautiful rainbow mosaics 🎨, and had so much fun playing Drag Bingo with the fabulous Skyla Fierce 💃✨.
To top it all off, Skyla Fierce wowed us with a spectacular performance of “Defying Gravity” 🎶🌟, leaving us inspired and uplifted!
What a wonderful week of celebrating inclusion, friendship, and pride. Here at StoryPoint Urbandale, everyone is loved, valued, and welcomed for exactly who they are. 🏳️‍🌈💜
