AUL's Government Affairs Director, Brad Kehr, met with Erin Hogan of Family Council and Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders while also addressing Arkansas Right to Life during their 2026 Membership Drive and visiting with Donna Ezell and the incredible team at Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center in Little Rock.

Grateful for these strong partnerships protecting mothers, babies, and the sanctity of life in Arkansas.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: A new Americans United for Life (AUL) / YouGov poll shows Americans overwhelmingly value women’s safety and right to informed consent over ease of access to the abortion pill.

- 86% of Americans believe patients should receive informed consent before being prescribed mifepristone.

- Patient safety should be prioritized over ease of access in deciding how the abortion pill should be dispensed, according to 68% of Americans.

The poll of 1,000 Americans nationwide was conducted by YouGov for AUL and has a ±3.5% margin of error.

Sarah Zagorski, Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications at AUL, stated: “Since the Dobbs decision, abortion advocates have tried to convince women that access matters more than our own safety. More than two-thirds of Americans have rejected that deception.

We still have a long way to go in educating the public on the disconnect between their beliefs and the policies that continue to leave women vulnerable.”

DEATH ON DISPLAY: In March 2026, Jesse and Ashley Ridgway joyfully announced their pregnancy, proudly sharing ultrasound images and declaring, “That’s way more than a dot. That’s a full child being grown… We even saw the heartbeat flickering.”

Just months later, after a Down syndrome diagnosis, they made the decision to abort their baby in early June after encouragement from their doctors, who told them that up to 90% of women decide to terminate in their situation. Jesse, who publicly described the condition as a “glitch,” stated, “Down syndrome isn’t a blessing,” and “I'm glad my parents didn’t abort me, I’m normal.”

The decision sparked intense outrage. Pro-life voices and families raising children with Down syndrome pushed back hard, calling out the decision as a heartbreaking example of modern eugenics and the devaluing of 'imperfect' lives."

No diagnosis should determine a baby’s right to life. All life is valuable.
