#𝗘𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗮
The first hospital is the community.
The first vaccine against fear is trust.
The first line of defense is solidarity.
The first act of healing is care.
The Basandja Hive and Yole!Africa are putting our creativity, our culture, and our community networks in service of life.
Because protecting life is everyone's responsibility.
Below is the link to the Ebola Emergency Relief Fundraiser. Every donation, whether small or large, is needed and goes right to our partners on the ground. THANK YOU 🙏🏾

One of the most powerful things the Basandja Coalition is doing right now is educating
communities about how Ebola spreads and how to stop it.
How to use a handwashing station. How to protect yourself when caring for a sick family
member. Who to contact if symptoms appear. How to handle the burial of a deceased loved one. What to do and what not to do.
This knowledge saves lives. And it spreads faster than any virus when communities trust the
people delivering it.
The Basandja Coalition has that trust. They have spent decades building relationships in these
communities. That is why they are uniquely positioned to do this work.
We are funding that work. Will you help?

Here is exactly what your donation funds on the ground in the Congo.
👉🏾$25 provides soap and hygiene supplies for a family for one month.
👉🏾$50 provides gloves and masks for a frontline community health worker.
👉🏾$100 helps set up a handwashing station serving an entire neighborhood.
👉🏾$500 helps train and deploy a community health educator.
The Basandja Coalition is already buying and distributing these supplies. Your gift scales that work.
There is no approved vaccine. There is no approved treatment. Basic protective equipment and community education are what is stopping the spread right now.
Give what you can today.

The Basandja Coalition of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities is a network of community-based organizations that has worked across the Congo for decades. The name Basandja comes from a Topoke word for the traditional code of conduct governing the harmonious relationship between human beings and the natural world.
They are not outsiders arriving in a crisis. They are rooted in these communities. They are members of the community. They have the trust.
And right now, they are at the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak, distributing soap, gloves, masks, and handwashing stations to the people who need them most.

We are raising funds to get them what they need to scale their response.

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲.
The outbreak currently spreading through the Democratic Republic of the Congo is caused by the Bundibugyo species. It is one of the rarest and least understood strains of Ebola ever recorded.
There is no approved vaccine. There is no approved treatment.
Health workers on the ground are fighting this with protective equipment, community education, and basic hygiene infrastructure. That is what stands between communities and further spread.
The Basandja Coalition is distributing exactly that, right now, at the epicenter of the outbreak.
Your donation funds their work. Every dollar matters.
