Today we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States of America.

As we reflect on our history, may we remember ideals that unite us as Americans: freedom, opportunity, faith, and the belief that all people are created equal. One Nation, Under God.

Good news for Georgians still recovering from Hurricane Helene. FEMA has approved more than $29 million to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency for temporary sheltering, staffing, and services for displaced families. This is money that helps real people get back on their feet. We will keep pushing until every Georgian is home.
