Family stability supports student success.
A child’s success can be shaped by housing stability, transportation, nutrition, family income, and access to local support.
In FFY 2023, Community Action Agencies achieved nearly 1.2 million education-related outcomes.
By supporting the whole family, Community Action helps create stronger conditions for learning and long-term success.

Local needs require local solutions.
Every community is different. CSBG flexibility helps Community Action Agencies respond to the specific conditions in their communities, whether the need is housing, employment, energy affordability, transportation, or family support.
That flexibility helps communities respond quickly and strategically.

When families have stable housing, they are better positioned to focus on work, school, health, and long-term goals.
Stable housing helps strengthen communities.

CSBG is federally funded but state administered.
State CSBG offices help connect federal resources to local solutions while supporting accountability, performance, technical assistance, and statewide coordination.
That structure helps preserve local flexibility while strengthening outcomes across the Community Action network.
Strong state systems help strengthen local impact.
