Today is the anniversary of D-Day. June 6, 1944. These boys put everything on the line for freedom and democracy. Thousands lost their lives. We should remember them and their sacrifice. We should pray for them. And we should honor them by protecting our democracy from the forces of dictatorship, including the attacks on our democratic institutions by the megalomaniacal demagogue in the Oval Office who has mocked our fallen soldiers. They defended our country and resisted fascism. Let us continue their legacy and renew this nation.
