As we close out Older Americans Month, we wanted to share some tips and resources for how you can take charge of your health at every age. Explore www.iona.org to see how our programs can support your mental and physical health.

Some resources that can help you age and live well include the Falls Free Checkup with The National Council on Aging which can help assess your risk for falls and the Move Your Way Campaign from The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion which has tools and videos to promote physical activity.

You are invited to Iona's Mayoral Forum on Aging this Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Join us as we ask DC's mayoral candidates the questions that matter most to older Washingtonians — brought by organizations representing seniors across the District. An optional Meet & Greet begins at 4:15 PM, where attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about Ranked Choice Voting.

In person location: First Congregational UCC 945 G St NW (easy access to Gallery Place – Chinatown and Metro Center Metro Stations). This event will also be Livestreamed via YouTube @ IonaSeniorServicesWashingtonDC
