to Thomas Howard III! He joins DCHFA as a Financial Analyst!
Thomas brings over six years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial modeling across public education, real estate, transportation, and state government sectors.
Prior to joining DCHFA, Howard held financial analyst roles where he managed month-end close processes, supported budget forecasting cycles, and advanced operational efficiency initiatives across both public and private sectors. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Louis University and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance at the University of Maryland.
Howard is passionate about public finance, community impact, and affordable housing. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, traveling, reading, and exploring the Washington metropolitan area.

to Maiya Clanton! She joins DCHFA as the new Multifamily Loan Servicing Manager!
Maiya brings more than eight years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, loan compliance, portfolio operations, and risk mitigation. Throughout her career, she has managed multifamily and affordable housing portfolios exceeding $200 million, with expertise spanning lender compliance, capital improvement oversight, financial reporting, operational governance, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Prior to joining DCHFA, Clanton served in asset management roles where she led portfolio performance initiatives, strengthened compliance and reporting processes, and collaborated with property management, construction, legal, and finance teams to support long-term asset preservation and operational efficiency. She earned her Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Fordham University.
She is passionate about affordable housing, community impact, and advancing operational excellence within the housing finance sector. Outside of work, she enjoys wellness-focused activities, sports, and staying engaged with emerging trends in real estate and finance.
