๐ A huge thank you to the Georgetown SMP physiology students for their generous support of Bread for the City!
The students recently organized a 5K fundraiser and selected Bread for the City as one of the beneficiaries of the funds they raised. Their gift is especially meaningful because many of these students have also volunteered with us, spending time alongside our staff and neighbors and gaining firsthand insight into our work.
We are continually inspired by young people who turn their passion into action. Whether they're volunteering their time, raising awareness, or giving back through fundraising, these students are helping make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families across Washington, DC.
Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to community. We are proud to partner with students who are already creating positive change. ๐

โจ Weโre excited to officially open our new Vision Center at the Michelle Obama Southeast Center!
The Vision Center led by Dr. Hahm, expands the comprehensive medical and dental services already available to our community, making quality vision care more accessible to our neighbors that's also close to home. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Vision Center provides comprehensive eye exams and coordinated care regardless of a person's ability to pay. ๐
In Washington, DC, vision care remains out of reach for many people without insurance. At Bread for the City, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to see clearly and access the care they need to stay healthy and thrive. ๐ค
We are deeply grateful to Mike Park, Alston & Bird team, staff members and supporters who helped make this Vision Center a reality.
Show your eyes some love and schedule an eye exam today! ๐
