Over the course of the summer, these Student Fellows will address housing injustice in South Carolina to help serve low-income individuals who are at risk of or currently experiencing housing instability, involuntary displacement, and eviction.

Innovative legal services help Kentuckians in recovery 06/12/2026

Over 2 million Americans are living with Opioid Use Disorder. Many need legal assistance to advocate for their right to have stable housing, receive benefits, and keep their families safe and together.

With a gap in legal aid to support individuals facing this epidemic, 2024 Fellow Carrie Stambaugh at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass is providing access to essential legal support to people in recovery.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 Rural Summer Legal Corps Student Fellows!

This year’s Fellows will work across 31 states and territories to help expand access to justice in rural communities experiencing significant gaps in legal services. Throughout the summer, they will support people navigating issues such as estate planning, domestic violence, agriculture, health benefits, housing, tribal law, and veteran benefits.

In partnership with Legal Services Corporation, this program has mobilized more than 400 Rural Summer Legal Corps Student Fellows who have served more than 14,300 rural community members nationwide for 10 years.
