Thank you Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib Congressman Thomas Massie Rep. Melanie Stansbury Mike Quigley Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez Rep. André Carson Congressman Suhas Subramanyam for introducing Amendments to the National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Bill (NSRP).
The NSRP appropriations bill is one of the 12 yearly spending bills that Congress MUST PASS. It funds U.S. diplomacy, and includes both the funding for the IDF as well as global humanitarian assistance; it is also the vehicle through which restrictions on funding of UNRWA are maintained.
These amendments are ones that A New Policy supports as they relate to Israel and Palestine. Some include: eliminating $3.3 billion in funding to Israel, providing education funds to Gaza, allocating $400 million to help with the reconstruction of Gaza, and eliminating limitations on funding to the UN relating to Israel and UNWRA.

We stand in solidarity with all communities fighting for self-determination and human rights, from the Black freedom struggle at home to the movement for Palestinian liberation. We wish everyone a meaningful weekend of reflection and a shared commitment to universal justice.

Endorsement Alert 📣
A New Policy PAC is proud to endorse William Lawrence (Will Lawrence) for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. This endorsement highlights the PAC’s commitment to supporting leaders who have the courage to challenge the status quo and demand a U.S. foreign policy that reflects American values of justice, equality, and the rule of law.
William Lawrence is an organizer and coalition-builder raised and educated in East Lansing, where he resides today. He’s spent his career fighting for working people. As a founder of the Sunrise Movement, Michigan Rent Is Too Damn High Coalition, and Mid-Michigan Tenant Resource Center, he has a track record of policy wins, he leads with heart, stays real, and delivers results. He knows that when politicians say there’s no money for social security, childcare, or education, there’s always still money for war. He’s fighting to build a Michigan that’s affordable, a future residents can look forward to, and a country they can be proud of.
Tariq Habash said “Whether fighting for green jobs, or educating tenants on their rights, Will has always been a fighter. He knows we must fight to stop spending taxpayer dollars on bombs for Israel, and as a member of Congress, he will use his voice to ensure Israel is held accountable, and that our money is better spent reinvested to support the lives of people in Michigan and across the U.S.”

Endorsement Alert 📣
A New Policy PAC is proud to endorse Melat Kiros () for U.S. Congress in Colorado’s 1st Congressional District. This endorsement highlights the PAC’s commitment to supporting leaders who have the courage to challenge the status quo and demand a U.S. foreign policy that reflects American values of justice, equality, and the rule of law.
Melat is running because she believes that elected officials should be accountable to the people, not to wealthy donors or corporate lobbyists. She supports an arms embargo, and has called out the U.S’s. failure to recognize and prevent wars and their devastations. She knows that the U.S. needs to end the blank checks for endless war and reallocate that funding towards diplomacy abroad and housing, education, and healthcare here at home. Melat is not fighting to fix what’s broken, she is fighting to build something even better.
Tariq Habash said “over two years ago Melat lost her job for speaking out against the genocide in Gaza and defending student protestors. Melat has never been afraid to call out what is wrong and in Washington DC she will fight to make our government work for people across the country.”
