Last Tuesday, we gathered at Sweet Tooth Cafe in the heart of Anacostia for Anacostia in Focus: Data and Insights on the Anacostia Business Environment.

Residents, business owners and partners came together to explore new research on the Anacostia business environment - and more importantly, to talk about what it means for the future of this community.

A huge thank you to Fargo for making this work possible and to Talib Graves-Manns (Partners in Equity & ResilNC) for authoring a report that is both rigorous and deeply rooted in the community's lived experience.

This report builds on the work and dedication of the Ward 8 community and we're committed to keeping that momentum going. We want to hear from you — what does the data spark for you? What ideas do you have?

The conversation doesn't stop here. Let's keep building together.
