CASE UPDATE from FBI - Phoenix: Arizona Man Charged with Hate Crime for Defacement of Synagogue

Kevin Charles Pyles, 33, of Glendale, AZ was indicted for the Intentional Defacement of Religious Real Property. The indictment alleges that Pyles defaced Sha’arei Shalom Congregation, a synagogue in Phoenix, on July 11, 2025. On that day, Pyles posted an antisemitic flyer on the synagogue’s front door.

CASE UPDATE from FBI - Philadelphia: Salesman Who Defrauded Hundreds of Customers Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud and Tax Fraud

As detailed in court filings and statements, Gregory J. Stefan Jr. defrauded hundreds of grieving customers by entering into contracts to provide custom headstone and engraving services for their deceased loved ones that he knew he would not deliver on the promised timeline, if at all.

Stefan demanded large up-front payments from his customers but routinely failed to fulfill their orders by the projected delivery date. When customers reached out to request updates on the status of their overdue orders, he either ignored them or employed lulling tactics.
