"At present, no country believes that Cambodia has invaded Thailand. Moreover, the Royal Thai Army itself previously stated that, because Cambodian people had lived on what Thailand considers Thai territory for 30–40 years, Thailand had to use force to reclaim the land. This implies that those who opened fire in July 2025 were the ones seeking to seize territory, not Cambodia."

Today, I had the pleasure of joining fellow members of Washington ASEAN Defense Attaché Association (WADAA) for a round of golf. Although we are posted far from our ASEAN homes, this association continues to provide a valuable platform to meet, strengthen friendships, and foster mutual understanding. No matter where we come from, dialogue remains the key to building trust and lasting cooperation.

Cambodia and the United States have concluded a key aviation agreement after 12 years of negotiations, paving way for direct flights between the two countries, with Washington committing to investment at Cambodia’s largest airport in order to enhance connectivity. [ Cambodianess ]

A proud day for the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

Colonel Rumcheck Chhong has completed his Master Degree in Strategic Studies (MSS) at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, preparing him for higher‑level leadership and strategic responsibilities.

Lieutenant Colonel Met Kimlong has graduated his Master Degree of Operational Studies (MOS) at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in Kansas, strengthening his professional foundation as a rising leader.

Both officers bring home valuable knowledge that will support the ongoing development of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. We congratulate them and wish them every success in their future careers.
