On June 19th, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger carried out the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas. This marked the end of slavery in the United States.

Today we celebrate this momentous event in American history where the lives of millions of Americans would be forever changed as slavery was no more in the United States of America.

Happy Juneteenth.

China’s goal is clear: global dominance by 2049, starting in the Indo-Pacific. China is not just an economic competitor. China perceives themselves as and in reality is an adversary.

🚜 Many of Ohio's farms have been built on the sweat and hard work of families coming together to make their land successful. Our agriculture community not only grows important crops such as corn and soybeans, but also provides jobs and capital that are essential to our economy. 📈

Russia continues to make advances toward putting an anti-satellite nuclear weapon into space. If Russia were to detonate such a weapon, it would be detrimental to us in many ways. We can not allow this to happen.

The safety and security of the American People must always be our number one priority. 🇺🇸

Congress must continue supporting Ukraine in its courageous battle against Russian aggression, that is why I voted in favor of the Ukraine Support Act. This legislation extends the DoD’s authority to provide support and intelligence to Ukrainian forces through 2027 as well as establishes harsher penalties for Russia.
