As the 2026 Congressional App Challenge begins, I’d like to take a moment to congratulate last year’s winner, Adi Khurana, for his work creating the AlertNow app. Adi created a program that uses video and audio AI models to identify gun threats in schools. This innovative project is not only extremely impressive, but could help save lives.

This week I met with Amalgamated Transit Union members and NJTransit employees in Howell to discuss the Microtransit Pilot Program. I was excited to hear directly from our state’s union members to better understand their day-to-day experience and to learn more about this innovative new program.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony as well as New Jersey’s Memorial Day of Observance.
Both ceremonies were a wonderful opportunity to remember and honor our state’s veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
