Hey: Council Member Julie Won invited us to this block party on Saturday, June 13th. Looking forward to celebrating the arrival of our beautiful new playground!

We’re excited to see the long-awaited Lt. Michael Davidson Playground nearly ready to open. Michael grew up right across the street and played here as a child. Years later, he would go on to serve our city as a firefighter and hero who gave his life in the line of duty. A beautiful tribute in Sunnyside this morning with New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Commissioner Nigro, New York City Department of Parks & Recreation Commissioner Silver, NYC Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, and hundreds of New York’s Bravest.
