Celebrating Caribbean Excellence 🇻🇮✨

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism proudly congratulates Commissioner Jennifer Matarangas-King on being recognized as a 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Honoree during the 10th Anniversary of Caribbean POSH Weekend in the British Virgin Islands.

This prestigious recognition celebrates women who are making a meaningful impact across the Caribbean through leadership, innovation, service, and advocacy. Commissioner Matarangas-King’s dedication to advancing the Virgin Islands tourism industry, strengthening regional partnerships, and championing sustainable economic growth continues to elevate the profile of our destination throughout the Caribbean and beyond.

We are equally proud to see Commissioner Matarangas-King featured as a panelist for the PoshGirl Power Brunch, where she will join distinguished Caribbean leaders in a conversation on “Tourism Reimagined: Building Caribbean Ownership & Economic Independence.”

The discussion will examine how Caribbean destinations can strengthen local entrepreneurship, create greater economic opportunities for residents, develop future tourism leaders, and ensure that more of the benefits generated by tourism remain within the region. These are conversations that are critical to shaping a stronger and more sustainable future for Caribbean tourism.

Please join us in congratulating Commissioner Matarangas-King on this well-deserved honor and in celebrating her continued commitment to the people and tourism industry of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
