Today, we engaged with Union Cooperatives running the Edible Oil and Maize Processing High-Value Projects in Mpongwe District, reviewing progress and reinforcing sound loan management.

We encouraged responsible use of loan facilities, timely repayments, and stronger oversight of Primary Cooperatives on production and implementation.

Union Cooperatives play a vital role in aggregating produce for value addition — and our support links producers to processors, creates reliable markets and drive enterprise and household incomes through job creation.

Engagements like these reflect our commitment to sustainable empowerment projects that deliver real economic benefits to Zambian citizens and enterprises.

🌱 CEEC HORTICULTURE LOAN PRODUCT TARGETING FARMERS IN KAFUE, CHILANGA & CHONGWE (LUSAKA PROVINCE), NDOLA-MASAITI, KALULUSHI & LUANSHYA (COPPERBELT PROVINCE)

Are you a farmer or agro-SME involved in crop and fruit production? We are offering financing to support production, aggregation, processing and value addition through cooperatives.

The Horticulture Loan Product empowers farmers with access to inputs and equipment, while supporting cooperatives with aggregation, cold storage, processing and marketing facilities to reduce post-harvest losses and increase incomes.

💰 Financing Available:
✅ Up to K500,000 for crop and fruit production
✅ Up to K2.5 million for aggregation and processing

Strengthening partnerships for inclusive development 🤝

CEEC has continued to enhance stakeholder engagement aimed at information sharing and increasing participation in high-value projects in Southern Province .
Today, CEEC Director General Dr. Muwe Mungule and senior management paid a curtesy call on Chirundu District Commissioner Patrick Kasambila to share the plans and initiatives that CEEC has earmarked for the benefit of communities across the valley districts of Sinazongwe, Gwembe, Siavonga, Chirundu, and Chikankata.
These projects are aimed at driving economic growth and empowering local entrepreneurs.
