𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐲

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is conducting a 5 days training for District Conflict Management Committees from Senanga, Sioma, and Shangombo Districts at the YWCA Centre.

The training aims to strengthen the capacity of committee members in preventing, managing, and resolving electoral-related conflicts before, during, and after the electoral process.

District Conflict Management Committees play a vital role in promoting peaceful elections by providing a platform for dialogue among stakeholders, addressing disputes amicably, and fostering tolerance and mutual respect among political players and community members.

Senanga Town Council Secretary, Mr Gift Mweetwa today took some time to monitor the progress being made on the construction of Mwanambinyi East Market under the Zambia Devolution Support Programme (ZDSP) project.

The monitoring exercise aimed at appreciating the works being undertaken and ensuring that the project is progressing according to plan for the benefit of the community.

The District Electoral Officer, Mr Gift Mweetwa, has officially opened the training for District Voter Education Facilitators.

In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of delivering correct and accurate voter education messages to the people in the communities.

He further highlighted that voter education plays a key role in promoting informed participation in the electoral process.

The training is aimed at equipping facilitators with the necessary knowledge and skills ahead of the implementation of voter education activities in the field.
