On a sunny Saturday afternoon in the quiet streets of Malbrough, a hive of activity was noticed as Harare-West residents trickled in the streets to collect their Pfumvudza Intwasa inputs. Residents patiently waited for the officials who arrived to a waiting crowd who had a glimmer of excitement in them.
The Government noted that the inputs would be given out to all those willing to take part in the program. HE ED Mnangangwa has said with climate change it was time to adapt the way we farm and this season many are hoping to beat last year's harvest total.
Speaking to residents waiting for the inputs and those who received noted, _"It's great to receive these inputs as we have seen good rains. We hope to have a good harvest."_ A youth from Westgate highlighted, _"Government actually has shown it's commitment to us in the urban area residents. We are happy that this will help us in the long run"_
As the process took place as residents patiently waited to get their inputs, it can be highlighted that leaders present ensured a transparent and fair process. One of the hallmarks of the Second Republic is that on transparency and accountability. The program was one with so much joy and appreciation. Also one thing that was clear, the list was done in alphabetical order and it was done in a way that each person stood an equal chance without using positions to jump the line.
Pfumvudza Intwasa is available for all Zimbabwe citizens who seek to attain food security in their households. Categorically today saw over 250 residents seeking to be part of the national food security.
